During the 83rd Legislative Session, Mia served as a legislative aide in the office of Representative Chris Paddie where her responsibilities included scheduling, policy analysis, and constituent relations. She also gained valuable energy policy experience assisting Representative Paddie on issues relating to his position on the House Energy Resources Committee.
Following her tenure in the Texas House of Representatives, Mia continued to build a strong familiarity with the various facets of the political process while working for a private consulting firm and, later, in the Office of Governor Rick Perry.
Mia first developed her passion for Texas government and politics during her time at Texas A&M University, where she worked on a number of political campaigns and received a degree in Political Science. Mia was born and raised in Grapevine, Texas and now resides in Austin, TX.
