Georgia joined Texas Star Alliance in 2012.  She has worked with all levels of government in policy, public affairs, and advocacy roles, gaining experience in a wide range of policy areas including health, housing, tax, transportation, energy, and criminal justice.

After starting her career as a legislative intern at Texas Star Alliance, Georgia served in the office of U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett, and the Democratic Caucus for the U.S. House of Representatives, where she aided press and media operations, monitored legislative developments and supported constituent service and outreach efforts.

Following her time in Congressional Offices, Georgia focused on healthcare legislation at the Texas Legislature. As the Legislative Specialist for a healthcare association, she helped pass legislation granting Texas patients direct access to physical therapy treatment. She went on to lead federal and state regulatory tracking, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots advocacy efforts as the Director of Government Relations for a national post-acute healthcare provider.

Most Recently, Georgia served as the Public Policy & Advocacy Manager for a government affairs firm working with clients in the private and public sectors, researching housing, transportation, and economic development policy, writing regulatory reports, coordinating advocacy campaigns, and managing meetings for local government and stakeholder coalitions.

In her current role, Georgia supports legislative efforts on behalf of clients, working on a robust set of legislative issues related to health, education, transportation, criminal justice, juvenile justice, energy, elections, tax, and appropriations.

Born in Austin but raised in Houston, Georgia calls both cities home. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and an avid fan of live music and the Texas Longhorns.
