Michelle "Missy" Apodaca
Michelle “Missy” Apodaca is a Principal of Texas Star Alliance. She is a veteran healthcare policy expert with significant federal and state legislative and regulatory experience -- providing substantive strategic counsel to a diverse array of healthcare clients.
Missy’s clients include numerous Fortune 500 healthcare and technology companies, healthcare advocacy organizations, and provider associations. With over 20 years of experience in law and politics, Missy has served as a legislative aide in both the Texas Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, a Schedule C Political Appointee at the U.S. Department of Education, and as the vice president of advocacy, legal and public policy for the Texas Hospital Association.
Missy was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She is a graduate of Austin College in Sherman, Texas and Texas Wesleyan School of Law (Texas A&M University School of Law) in Fort Worth, Texas.
Missy serves as the Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and a member of the Governing Council for the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section. She also serves on the Board of Directors for First Focus for Children in Washington. D.C. and the Texas Interfaith Center for Public Policy in Austin, Texas. Missy is a graduate of Leadership Texas and Leadership El Paso.
