The Rev. John Robert Pitts

1947–2025 

We mourn the passing of our founder, The Rev. John Robert Pitts, whose leadership, service, and integrity shaped Texas Star Alliance and left a lasting impact on the State of Texas.

John was widely respected for his wisdom, generosity, and ability to bring people together to pursue thoughtful, effective public policy. His work touched the Texas Legislature, state agencies, nonprofit institutions, and communities across the state. While his loss is deeply felt, his influence endures.

Texas Star Alliance was founded on the values John lived by every day: thoughtful discernment, respect for diverse viewpoints, and the belief that public policy, when pursued with integrity and care, can improve lives.

Those values continue to guide our work, and we remain fully engaged in serving our clients and advancing their interests with the same professionalism, care, and principled advocacy that John exemplified throughout his life.
