Texas Star Alliance is proud to announce the selection of Will Fullerton as new Executive Director of Texas Aspires. Mr Fullerton will continue to serve clients with the firm in addition to his duties at Texas Aspires.
Texas Aspires’ board of directors announced today that William Fullerton will be assuming the organization’s top staff position, effective April 9, 2018.
“Will’s wealth of experience will be a wonderful complement to the work we have begun together, and our team is confident he is the right leader to spearhead our efforts to build a stronger Texas,” said Texas Aspires’ chairman Michael Williams.
Fullerton serves as a political, public affairs, and business consultant with Texas Star Alliance. With more than a decade of experience, he specializes in strategic communications, lobbying, political strategy, and business development.
Prior to Fullerton’s time in the private sector, he served as the chief of staff at the Texas Education Agency and led the agency through multiple legislative sessions, focusing on strategic fiscal reviews of the agency’s multibillion-dollar budget and managing a staff charged with regulating over 1,200 public school districts serving more than 5.2 million students.
“I am excited to join the Texas Aspires team,” said Fullerton. “Every child deserves access to a high-quality public education focused on helping them reach their full potential. Texas’ diverse population demands student-first education policy. We must empower parents, teachers, and local communities to make meaningful improvements in the classroom.
“In this new capacity, I am eager to continue to fight for all children, their futures, and the future of our great state.”
